The wait is finally over for the details on the next Star Wars Celebration, as it was announced this Wednesday to be coming to our galaxy in 2019. Revealed on the weekly YouTube special, The Star Wars Show, Star Wars Celebration 2019 will be in Chicago at McCormick Place from April 11-April 15th. Tickets will go on sale on June 15th at noon CST.

The very first convention, Star Wars Celebration I, kicked off in 1999 to celebrate the release of Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace. Since then, Celebration has been hosted worldwide to honor big Star Wars landmarks and anniversaries that include new films, shows, and changes across the franchise. Big reveals and surprise visits, like John William’s concert last year, are examples of some of the exclusive offerings fans get to take part in.  Celebration 2019 will be the first time Chicago has hosted the convention, marking the 20th anniversary of the event.
