“The Secret of the Wings” ice skating rink opens in Downtown Disney

For the first time during a Disneyland Resort holiday season, guests in the Downtown Disney district will be able to go skating on an outdoor “The Secret of the Wings” ice skating rink, located near ESPN Zone and AMC Theatres.

Ice skates will be available for rental. The rink pays tribute to “The Secret of the Wings,” the new Tinker Bell adventure released to DVD and Blu-ray by Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment.

Watch the grand opening ceremony (video above – not available in mobile site) that included magical appearances by Tinker Bell and her twin, Periwinkle, Disney’s own Daniel Delcourt and Janet Knox. Hosted by Disneyland Ambassador Rene Torrico, which will also introduce Secret of the Wings Director Peggy Holmes and Producer Michael Wigert.
